Who it's for

Shared driveways, private lanes, estate roads and access roads that the council doesn't maintain. These are often used by several households, farms or businesses.

Survey and build-up

We look at how the road is used (cars, bin lorries, oil tankers, farm machinery), how it drains and how its edges are holding up. Then we specify either resurfacing over the existing road or a full rebuild with a new sub-base.

Passing places, verges and drainage

Long lanes often need passing places, verge reinstatement and grips or channels to carry water away. Water is the main thing that destroys private roads.

Sharing the cost

We can split the quote into sections or by property, so neighbours can see exactly what they're paying for.

Finishes

Tarmac gives a smooth, hard-wearing finish. Tar and chip is a rural look and better value per square metre. Recycled planings suit budget farm and estate tracks.

Questions

Can you quote neighbours separately?

Yes. We can break the price down by section or by property.

Do we need to close the road?

Usually only for short periods. We'll agree access times with every household before we start.
